Sobig Worm

The Sobig Worm was a computer worm that infected millions of Microsoft Windows computers that were able to access the internet, in August 2003. The worm was also considered a Trojan horse, as it can masquerade itself as a legitimate computer software found attached in emails. The Sobig Worm also has several variants of itself that were released in quick successions, namely “Sobig.A” through “Sobig.F”, with the “Sobig.F” causing the most damage. The worm wreak havoc on numerous companies such as Air Canada, which it’s ticketing system was disrupted. To date, the creator of the Sobig Worm has not been caught.
